For a Thursday night the Bronze was hopping. Buffy and Lily joined Xander and Willow at a table near the dance floor.
"Giles let you out of research?" Willow asked, surprised to see them.
"Yeah, I think he and Ms. Calendar wanted to play footsie or something equally gross." Buffy made a face and shuddered at the thought. "Have you seen Angel?"
Xander sighed. "Angel, Angel, Angel. What does dead boy have that breathing men don't?"
Buffy grinned at him. "Come on Xander, let's dance." She grabbed his arm and tugged him out onto the dance floor.
"Dead boy?" Lily asked in amusement, taking a seat. "Angel must hate that one."
"Xander has/had this thing for Buffy," Willow explained.
"That's obvious. So, what about you Willow? Is the guitarist from the other night your boyfriend?"
Willow blushed and ducked her head. "Oh, I don't know, maybe, sort of. We haven't really gone out." Her voice trailed off.
"He's cute....and musicians know how to use their hands," Lily teased. Willow turned bright red and choked on her soft drink. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't tease like that, but I haven't had much experience around teenagers...not even when I was one. When I was your age, I had been married for nearly two years."
"That must have been weird. Buffy said you married your Watcher; did you love him? I'm sorry; I'm being nosy; you don't have to answer that."
"No, that's okay. Actually, I was married to him two days after I met him. That wasn't all that unusual in those days in the upper classes. For me the real shock was that my parents married me to a Protestant. John didn't explain what I was until after we were married. To this day, I don't know what he did or said to convince my parents to give me to him. I have a feeling it involved a large sum of money or land or something of value."
"Buffy was a little freaked when she found out you had married your Watcher. She told me all she could think about was what might have happened if she had been born a hundred years ago."
"The Watcher Organization would have assigned a younger Watcher to her and, depending on her status in society, would have married them. John was only ten years older than me and we came from basically the same level of wealth, but without him, I would never have had an entrance into Society. We kept my Catholicism very quiet, but John never asked me to convert."
"You still love him," Willow said confidently.
Lily smiled at the girl. "Yes, with all my heart. I pray every day that someday we will be together again."
"A religious vampire? That must be a first."
"My soul is the same."
"Then, can I ask you another question?" Willow asked. Lily nodded. "How can you be, well, you know, with Spike? He's a demon."
"Tell me about it," Lily said with a groan. "Willow, I have not idea what I'm doing with Spike or what I feel." She shook her head, bemused. "But, I do know this...I haven't felt this way about a man since my husband and that frightens me. If it's just lust, I can deal with it, but if it's something more...How can anyone but another demon love a demon?"
"Maybe it's just lust," Willow offered hopefully.
Lily chuckled. "I can live with that...or it may very well kill me!"
Willow turned red again.
*****
Buffy and Xander returned from dancing, happy and breathing hard. The quartet spent a pleasant hour chatting and dancing--well, Lily declined the dancing part; this wasn't music in her opinion--until Angel arrived. After greeting everyone, he and Buffy went off to a quiet corner. Lily tuned out Xander's grousing and perused the crowd.
Cordelia was sitting with a group of girls in micro-mini dresses. They were all laughing and chatting, except for Cordelia who was watching Xander and Willow. When she met Lily's eyes, she quickly looked away. Lily shook her head at the intricacies of teenage life and went back to eying the crowd.
At a far table there were a couple of vampire females, but, since they appeared to be leaving the human population alone, Lily chose to ignore them. Her eyes went farther around the room and came to the entrance to the club.
Her heart, if it actually could beat, would have skipped at the sight of Spike strolling into the club.
Their eyes met and held. Lily found herself rising to her feet. She didn't realize that Xander was following her line of sight.
"Crap. Willow, go get Buffy; we've got big trouble."
Willow squeaked when she saw what Xander was looking at. Lily put her hand on Willow's shoulder and held her down. "There will be no trouble," she said without looking at them. "Stay here."
Quickly, Lily made her way through the crowd towards Spike. They met by the stairs to the upper level, still staring into each other's eyes.
"I looked for you in the park. When you weren't there, I decided to try here. I figured you'd be hanging out with the Slayer." Spike sneered the last word.
Lily stared wordlessly at him for a second, then turned to leave. He grabbed her arm and spun her back around.
"No, don't leave. I'm...sorry." He apologized as if it had been a long time since he had done it.
"You know what I am, yet still you come looking for me. Is it my blood you want?" Lily asked, dreading the answer.
"No." That answer surprised Lily. "I suppose I could use a shot of it, but there are other much more important needs at the moment." Spike released her arm and gently laid his hand on her cheek, running it down to her throat.
As need seared through her, Lily swayed towards him, but just as their lips were about to meet, she pulled back. "This can't go anywhere," she cried in a voice full of pain.
Spike's answer resonated through her. "It can go wherever we want to take it."
Lily shook her head in denial, trying to pull her eyes from the nearly hypnotic effect of his gaze. "You are a demon in human form."
"And, yet, I still have human desires, feelings. I can hate and I can love....I can love," he stressed.
His words were so persuasive. Lily felt her eyes fill with tears. She begged whomever might be listening not to let this be love. She didn't think she could stand that.
Spike's finger gently wiped away the lone tear that had slid from her eyes and then he kissed her. At the touch of his lips, Lily was lost. She wrapped herself around him, pressing as close as she could, receiving and returning the gentlest, yet most sensual kiss of her life.
*****
Across the room, Buffy and Angel, after dissecting the discussion Angel had had with Spike the night before, finally saw what was going on.
"Shit! I get distracted for half a second and he finds her," Buffy exclaimed, digging in her bag for a stake. Angel grabbed her arm, stopping her from storming over to the couple. "What?"
"It doesn't look like he's planning to kill her any time soon," Angel began warily.
"Euu, ick! How can she be doing that with IT?"
Angel shook his head at how young Buffy was sometimes. He knew all about the intricacies of lust, love, souls and demons. "Let this play out, Buffy. We'll keep an eye on them." He led her back over to the table where Xander and Willow sat wide-eyed as they watched Lily and Spike kiss.
*****
Finally, Spike pulled back from the kiss and grinned at the bemused look on her face. "See, that wasn't so bad."
Lily couldn't help but chuckle. This might be the worst mistake of her very long life, but it felt so damn right. Her ears perked up as a slow song--Jewel's "Foolish Games"-- began to play. "Dance with me?" she asked.
For a brief moment, Spike was startled by the change in her, then he nodded and let her lead him to the dance floor. Lily directed them the long way around the room in order to bypass the table full of disapproving people in the direct path. Her sensitive ears picked up Cordelia's squeak of terror as they passed her, then they were on the nearly empty dance floor.
They flowed together, arms wrapping around each other, bodies pressing together. Barely moving, they circled to the music, caught up in the moment. Lily rested her head on Spike's shoulder and felt his lips moving over her hair and down to her ear. She closed her eyes and held on tightly, listening to the music.
*these foolish games are tearing me apart
your thoughtless words are breaking my heart
you're breaking my heart*
*****
Cordelia joined the group at the table in front of the dancing couple. "This is majorly disturbing. Shouldn't you be doing something?" she asked Buffy.
"Like what? She's been an adult for, oh, at least a half a dozen lifetimes; if she wants to throw her life away on demon boy, how am I supposed to stop her? I can't exactly go stake him out there in front of half of Sunnydale High," Buffy answered sarcastically.
"But, if he kills her...don't we need her for this prophecy thing?" Cordelia argued.
"If he kills her, the prophecy can't happen." Suddenly aware that four sets of eyes were glaring at him, Xander put up his hands in surrender. "Hey, it's just a thought, not that I want her dead or anything."
"I think Lily's right," Willow began. "He's not here to make trouble."
"Trouble is definitely not what they're making out there," Buffy quipped, then shuddered at the thought.
"Well, they do make a nice looking couple," Cordelia conceded.
"Oh, and that means everything, Cordy," Xander said in disgust.
Cordelia glared at him and replied in an icy voice, "At least he can dance." She flounced away, leaving Xander muttering under his breath.
"What was that, Xander?" Buffy asked, not expecting an answer.
Angel finally spoke his thoughts. "She is right; this is disturbing." Everyone looked at him. "For centuries, all Lily has done with vampires is kill them. She'll seduce them to get them in position to kill them, but past that she doesn't interact socially with them. She can't possibly understand or be prepared for what she is getting into."
"Like what?" Buffy asked.
"Demons are notoriously fickle. Vampires can and do feel love, but it rarely lasts--Spike and Dru had the longest lasting love I ever heard about. But, humans can love forever."
"Lily told me she still loves her husband," Willow chimed in.
Angel nodded. "It's the human soul that allows love to last forever and so deeply. Another thing, I don't see Spike stopping his evil ways any time soon. You remember how disturbed Lily was because she didn't have the strength to stop him from killing that woman. Will she be able to live with the fact that he kills indiscriminately, for sport, men, women, children? He is a demon. I don't think she has totally faced that."
"Maybe it's just lust," Buffy said. Angel nodded in hopeful agreement, but had a bad feeling about the whole thing.
*****
The song ended, replaced by something raucous. Slowly, regretfully Spike and Lily separated. Gently raising her hands to his lips, he kissed her knuckles, then slipped one digit inside his mouth. Their eyes caught and held as he sucked tenderly on her finger.
"Let's get out of here," Lily said in a low voice, surprising them both.
"We really should talk."
Lily shook her head. "Talking can wait. I can't." She grabbed his hand and began to pull him behind her. Buffy blocked their path and Lily came to an abrupt halt. The younger woman did not look pleased as she stood in a defiant position, arms crossed over her chest, one hand discreetly holding a stake.
"Have you gone insane recently?"
"I know what I'm doing," Lily replied through gritted teeth.
"HA!"
From behind Lily came a low growl.
"Back off, Spike. This is between me and Lily," Buffy snapped. She addressed Lily. "We really don't need you dead dead. If you want to stay here and dance with him--in plain sight--I can learn to live with that. I may spend the rest of the evening gagging..."
"We're leaving and I'll be fine," Lily snapped back, beginning to grow angry.
"Remember the cage?"
"Buffy, get out of my way!"
"You disgust me," Buffy hissed.
Infuriated, Lily hauled off to punch Buffy, but her arm was caught from behind.
"Much as I'd love to see you slug the bitch, I'd rather..." Lily grinned at what Spike whispered in her ear then laughed in delight, in a suddenly much better mood.
"I'll see you later, Buffy."
"Huh, we're not done here."
Lily gave the younger woman a look to cut her dead and Buffy finally backed down. Lily led Spike around Buffy and headed for the door to the Club.
Buffy stared after Lily and Spike, stunned by the depth and variety of the emotions she felt. Slowly she walked back over to the table where her friends sat.
"Where'd they go?" Xander asked, wondering why Buffy had let them leave. Buffy just shook her head.
"Buffy...?" Angel asked in a quiet, concerned voice.
Finally Buffy broke the awkward silence. "I think I want to go home," she said slowly. "Willow, will you come with?"
"Sure, are you okay?"
"Yeah, sure, I'm fine, I just..." Buffy's voice trailed off and she turned to Angel. "Sorry. I'll see you tomorrow?"
Angel nodded, understanding that Buffy wasn't ready to talk to him. He slipped away into the shadows, debating over whether to follow Buffy and Willow to make sure they reached home safely, or to go and find Lily and Spike.
Buffy and Willow said their goodbyes to Xander then left the Bronze. It was a chilly night and they walked quickly, not speaking after the decision was made to go to Willow's.
Willow's room was warm and inviting. As Willow went to the kitchen to make some hot chocolate, Buffy took off her jacket and slumped down onto the bed. Not wanting to think, she let her eyes move slowly around the room, not really focusing on anything, until Willow came in with two steaming mugs.
Willow perched herself on her desk chair and took a sip of her drink. "So, do you want to talk?" Buffy shrugged her slumped shoulders and set her mug on the bedside table. "Do you think Lily will be okay?"
That set Buffy off. "I can't believe she's being so stupid! I mean, she's like ancient and should know better." Her voice trailed off and she slumped again.
"You seemed to be okay with the whole thing, you know, when Cordelia asked if you were going to do anything..."
Buffy shook her head and ran her hands over her face. "At that moment, I guess I was okay, sort of. You have to admit, I was right--I couldn't go stake him in the middle of the Bronze." She looked to Willow who nodded encouragingly. "I guess...Well, it was grossing me out seeing them like that, but at least, with them in plain sight, I knew what Spike was up to. Once they left..."
"I think that Lily can take care of herself; she's very strong," Willow said. "Even though when I talked to her earlier tonight she said she was very confused about her feelings for him."
"I could see that in her," Buffy replied, distracted. Willow could tell that Buffy was struggling with something and she had a feeling it had to do with more than simply Lily's feelings for evil Spike. Sipping her hot chocolate, she waited for Buffy to continue.
Buffy rose to her feet and began to wander aimlessly around the room, ending up in front of the French doors. It was a clear night, but very dark--the moon was only a thin sliver in the sky. She shivered, thinking about the dreams. Finally she gathered her thoughts into some decent order and began to speak again. "You know, I don't even like Lily that much. I get the same weird feeling around her that I felt around Kendra--that there shouldn't be two of us."
After a moment of silence, Willow spoke. "But, whereas Kendra came after you, Lily came before. Do you feel like you've taken her rightful place?"
"No, not really. She's dead. I mean, she died, another was chosen, she stayed dead, unlike me, yada yada yada."
"But, she still wigs you out?"
Buffy turned from the French doors and walked back over to the bed. She sat down facing Willow, her face betraying how troubled she felt.
"Majorly." Finally Buffy was able to put into words what had been at the back of her mind since she had met Lily. "I could be her!" Once the truth began to come out, she couldn't stop--it poured from her. "When Angel first told me that Lily was what happened when a Slayer becomes a vampire, I was freaked. I hate thinking about all that stuff."
Buffy looked up at Willow and saw that she understood. "But, then....I love Angel. You know that, don't you?" Willow nodded. "He'll never change, but me...I'll grow old, or rather, I won't grow old. I'll just...I'll just die," she ground out. "I didn't really think about this consciously, but..." Buffy looked up helplessly at Willow.
"If Angel turns you, you'll keep your soul and can be with him forever," Willow finished Buffy's line of reasoning.
Buffy buried her face in her hands, near tears. Gently, Willow patted her friend's shoulder, silently comforting her.
"I don't want to be a vampire, Willow; I really don't. But, I don't want to die..." Buffy began to cry and Willow reached out and hugged her, soothing her.
After a while, Buffy began to calm down. The tears had been a much needed catharsis. As her breathing eased, she realized she felt better than she had in a week. Finally, she had told someone what she had barely realized herself. She pulled away from Willow and flopped onto her back.
"You okay?" Willow asked.
"Better. You're such a good friend."
"Hey, I just listen."
Buffy sat back up, reached for her cooling drink and took a sip. "Well, thanks for letting me vent, but, I suppose we should concentrate on Lily." Thinking about what that duo could be up to made her shudder.
"Well, I don't really understand...," Willow began. I mean, I've heard about girls who like bad boys, but this is a little extreme. He's not human. Lily's not human either, but she still has a soul, so she's sort of human. Spike's a demon." Willow gave Buffy a baffled look.
"We can't tell our hearts who to love," Buffy explained. Willow nodded, thinking about her own unrequited love for Xander. "We also can't help who our bodies are attracted to. Chemistry, you know."
"But, she's letting the chemistry, her hormones, take control. Is that what happens when you, you know, are no longer a, um, virgin? Do you lose control more easily?" Willow blushed.
"I don't think so, Will," Buffy said, trying not to smile. "Just because a girl sleeps with a guy doesn't necessarily mean that she's going to start doing it with every guy that comes along. Although, I have known some girls...," Buffy mused. "Lack of virginity does not mean instant slutdom for most girls."
"So, it's the chemistry between Lily and Spike that makes her lose control?"
"God, you could see the heat bouncing off them when they danced!" Buffy couldn't help grinning.
"I don't know. I think it's a little sad that a woman could have such little control over her body. Especially a woman who's been around for over three hundred years." Willow shook her head in confusion. "I guess you can't really understand how she feels if you're still a virgin."
"Will, *I* don't understand how she feels. And, to tell the truth, I don't think she does either. She's just letting herself be carried away. Unfortunately, it's with my current enemy number one." Buffy thought for a moment. "You know," she said a little sadly. "I could find myself in a similar position if Angel ever loses control over his demon. I don't think I would just stop loving him or, I admit it, lusting after him, just because he was evil. The heart doesn't just stop feeling and you can't tell it who to love."
*****
Lily took Spike's hand, leading him out of the Bronze and down the street to where she had parked her car.
"Nice wheels."
Lily mumbled a response and practically shoved him in the passenger's side, then circled the car and got behind the wheel. In an instant they were speeding down the street.
"Luv, we really should talk..."
As she screeched to a stop at a red light, Lily reached over and grabbed Spike's collar, pulling him towards her for a hungry kiss. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the light turn green and shoved him back, then continued down the street.
"Okay, maybe we don't need to talk....No, we really do. One minute you say this can't go anywhere, the next, you're asking me to dance. We really need to discuss the future."
Lily made a quick turn into the parking lot of the second sleaziest motel in Sunnydale and stopped the car outside the office. "Stay put," she ordered and got out of the car to go into the office.
When she returned five minutes later, she was pleased to see that Spike had obeyed her. It was about time the mighty vampire king of Sunnydale saw how it was on the other side of the fence, so to speak. She was acting on pure instinct, refusing to let the questions and fears invade her thoughts and push aside her need.
Striding over to the passenger side of the car, she opened it and gestured for Spike to get out. He did so, a little warily, and Lily grabbed his arm, tugging him towards the room she had been assigned.
Inside the decor was as bad as the last motel room, but all she cared about was that it had a bed--didn't even need to be double, but it was. Lily slammed the door behind them, turned on the lights and flung her purse across the room all in a split second, then grabbed Spike.
As they kissed, she dragged his coat down his arms, letting it drop to the floor, then pushed him backwards towards the bed. When his legs hit the side, he fell onto his back. Watching her carefully, he turned so that he lay propped against the headboard. "Luv..."
"No talking," Lily interrupted. Beginning to enjoy himself, Spike lazily crossed his hands behind his head and waited.
Lily slipped the jacket from her shoulders, letting it fall to the floor. The emerald tank dress she wore followed, leaving her in black bikinis and black pumps. Shaking her hair out of the gold clip which had held it at the nape of her neck, she ran her fingers through the curls, then began to walk slowly towards the bed.
As Spike's eyes fixed on her breasts, she smiled and reached up to cup them, her thumbs running over her sensitive nipples. Liquid fire ran through her and she moaned lightly.
Spike licked his lips.
Kneeling on the bed at his feet, Lily began to crawl up over him, her hands slowly running up his jean clad legs. Gently she sat down on his knees, straddling his legs, and reached for the buttons at his fly. With a mischievous smile she flicked all five of them open, then reached inside.
He was hard and ready for her. As Lily's nails scraped delicately along the underside of his staff, she glanced up to take in the look of concentration and pleasure on his face. Smiling, her hand tightened and moved up to the tip to squeeze gently. Spike groaned and tried to lift his hips.
Lily continued to run her hand up and down his erection, alternately squeezing and scraping him with her nails. In fascination she watched Spike's hands dig into the bedding as his groaning increased.
Feeling incredibly powerful, Lily leaned slowly down and blew across the sensitive tip. Spike's back arched, nearly sending her toppling off his legs. Grinning evilly, Lily released him and stood up. She slid her now very damp panties down her legs and over the heels of her shoes, then tossed them over her shoulder.
Sitting down next to him on the bed, Lily leaned down and kissed him passionately. His hands gripped her shoulders and pulled her across his chest as his tongue began to battle her's. As they kissed, she began to tear at his shirt, ripping it open to reveal his lightly furred chest.
Her nails digging into the skin around his nipples, Lily swung one leg over him, again straddling him, this time a little higher. Torturing them both, she rubbed her cleft against his throbbing erection.
Spike's hands flew down her back to her buttocks. Before he could lift her onto him, Lily grabbed his hands and pulled them away from her body, pressing them down onto the mattress on either side of his head, holding him by the forearms.
Pulling her lips free from his she looked into his eyes. Both knew he could overpower her, but Lily saw that, for now at least, he was going to follow her lead. Her eyes slid down to his chest and her lips parted in an airless pant at the sight of the rivulets of bloods leaking from the wounds she had inflicted.
Ducking her head, she began to lap up the blood, licking and sucking on his nipples. Beneath her hands she could feel the tendons in his arms straining and her nails dug into the skin. For the first time in her life, she wanted to make someone bleed.
Her face nudging the shirt aside, her lips moved up his chest and around his shoulder, then latched onto his throat, sucking and nipping. She could feel the growl that emanated from him rippling through the skin beneath her mouth and it sent an answering shudder through her.
Releasing her grip on his arms, she again cupped her breasts and guided one towards his mouth. As the nipple slipped between his lips, Spike began to suckle like a baby, lifting his head to take more of her breast into his mouth. Lily moaned as his teeth scraped her sensitive skin and his now free hand found her other breast, tweaking the nipple between rough fingers.
Again Spike's hands found her buttocks, kneading them as he bit her tender breast. Lily cried out as heat seared through her. Trembling, she pulled her breast free from his mouth, ready to impale herself on him. As she tried to slide down his body, Spike surprised her, pulling her up his chest.
When she realized what he wanted to do, Lily moaned in anticipation and reached out to grip the cheap padded headboard. Spike lifted her and placed her over his hungry mouth.
At the touch of his tongue on her clitoris, a sharp cry was wrung from her lips. As he began to lick and suck, Lily felt the pressure grow. When he bit, she climaxed noisily, moaning and whimpering, her body shuddering.
Her nails tore into the headboard as two of his fingers pistoned into her wet channel and his mouth began a second assault. Hungrily she moved against his mouth, guiding his tongue, then pressed him down into the pillows as another climax hit.
Weak with still growing desire, she let Spike pull her down his body and thrust her onto his erection. As he filled her, her eyes flew open and met his glazed stare. Leaning down, Lily kissed him, tasting herself on his lips, then flung her head back as she began to move on him. Spike's hands gripped her breasts, caressing them roughly, as he arched into her.
Supporting herself on one hand, Lily slid the other between her legs to caress herself as she thrust her body down onto him, grinding them together. She bit deeply into her lower lip and moved faster as the pleasure grew again from deep inside her belly.
Spike's fingers squeezed tightly around her nipples and Lily yelped at the pain. It only added to her growing pleasure. Their eyes met again and one of his hands joined her's between her legs. At his touch, Lily's body stiffened then began to shake. Her orgasm struck fiercely and her seemingly endless spasms sent him over the edge. Spike growled and spilled himself deep inside her.
As the shuddering subsided, Lily let herself fall to Spike's side, allowing him to slip from her. Moaning softly, she curled up against him, her eyes falling shut. Perfect...
After an infinity of time, Spike found his voice. "That was nice, pet, but can we talk now?"
Lily sighed and slowly levered herself into a sitting position. She ran her hands through her tangled hair, then stretched. A glimmer of a smile crossed her lips as she watched his gaze again focus on her bouncing breasts. "Are you sure you want to talk?" she asked in a seductive voice.
Spike groaned and squeezed his eyes shut in protest. With renewed interest, Lily carefully took hold of his now flaccid staff. Before Spike, she had never had sex with a male vampire more than once. She was amazed at their regenerative abilities. So much nicer for her...
At her touch, Spike jerked and grabbed her wrist, his eyes flying open again. "Lily," he began in a warning tone of voice.
"Don't worry, luv," she mimicked him. "You'll like this." She easily pulled her wrist free.
Lily slid down onto her side, her head resting against his jean clad hip, the denim rough against her smooth cheek. As her hand continued to caress him, he began to harden. With a wicked smile, Lily bent her head and took his staff in her mouth. Spike's loud groan was music to her ears.
At this stage of development she could take him in whole and she let her tongue do the work, swirling around and around. As he expanded, she pulled back slowly, her teeth scraping lightly along his sensitive staff until he was fully erect. Her hand caressing the base of his now throbbing staff, her lips sucked delicately on the tip.
Spike's hips jerked at each touch of her lips. When her teeth began to nibble, he thrust desperately into her mouth. Lily pulled back, keeping only the tip under her hungry tongue.
Pointedly ignoring Spike's groans of frustration, Lily returned to sucking. With no need to breathe, she could do this forever, but she doubted Spike could hold out that long. As she engulfed him in her mouth, she heard him cry her name and she had never felt so powerful in her life.
Realizing he was near the end, Lily let him thrust into her mouth, hungrily sucking and nibbling on his rapidly moving staff.
Suddenly, he grabbed her head, pressing her down until her lips reached the base of his erection. With another cry of pleasure, he came, flooding her mouth with his semen. Instinctively, Lily swallowed, pulling free of his hand and slowly raising her head until his spent staff slipped from between her lips.
Gently laying her head on his stomach, Lily wrapped one arm around his waist. At the feel of Spike's hand caressing the back of her head, her eyes closed in contentment.
End Chapter 8
